Words That Change

Diary of an unborn democracy

This is an experiment.

The poet or writer is not giving birth to something specific to themselves, but a shared communal feeling that has been chosen, by mutual arrangement, availablity and honing, to give expression through him or her.

So what if we could all tap into a combined feeling and write from the same original source?

I’ve come up with a first line, to which Dr Zimbadean, has added an excellent second, and each line that is added in the comments section will then be placed in the main body of the text.

I’ll keep this post up as the most recent one until we’re done and when all contributions are in I’ll edit it into a fantastic jamboree of momentary confusion that, like all the best poems, on the last line suddenly becomes clear. In editing I’ll try to get as close to the integrity of the work as I can.

If you choose to add something see if you can get a feeling of combining with many other like hearts in contributing to this work. Take a deep breath, and then go…

Just like can’t be ignored –

The sound of angel’s kissing –

Music gives the riding of

Cat’s paws so soft feline beautiful

But look away a second and they scratch

Nasty cuts in (to) you

A herd rent with anxiety

Torn flesh in the symphony

Requirement to beat

(…over to you)
